Fly in Zero Gravity

To fly in a weigntlessness condition, staying on Earth – is that real? To feel your body weight disappear and Earth gravitation vanishes, while you are soaring away – that is now absolutely real. “People will never hover like a birds” – once people used to say. Now in modern days we can certainly say: yes, people can hover freely!

You can perform a thrilling flight in a weigntlessness condition. No, that is not aerodynamic tube or trampolines, that is a real weightlessness, created aboard unique aircraft-laboratory IL-76 MDK (which stands for “Modified space airplane for a long ranged distance”), which was created specifically for cosmonauts’ training in the Russian Gagarin Space Training Center (GCTC) and for experiments conducting in a zero gravity condition.

From now on gravitation and friction laws will no longer stay in force, so you can freely float in the air, tumble, do backflips or even fly like a Superman! Make your best selfie in a weightlessness condition and amaze your friends in a social media!

On 20th of April group of our tourists have already experienced Zero Gravity flight. After the flight they received named certificates about their successful flight in weightlessness mode. Our next Zero Gravity flight is scheduled on 24th and 25th of August! Join now, the amount of available places is limited!

Zero Gravity flights on Earth? Yes, it is possible!

Zero Gravity flight – are these real here, on Earth? Yes, Zero Gravity flights are more than real! To feel weightlessness, it is not required to be an astronaut or pay immense money to become a space tourist. Now almost everyone can experience Zero Gravity condition in Russia, not far from Moscow. “But how – you may ask?” We are answering: “Aboard a special IL-76 MDK aircraft!”

Il-76MDK is a unique airplane designed especially for training and drills first for Soviet and then for Russian cosmonauts in the Gagarin Cosmonautic Training Center (GCTC). When reaching altitude of 6000 meters above ground level, the aircraft start its acceleration to a height of 9000 meters. After some time tourists begin to feel Zero Gravity!  In total tourists enjoy no less than 10 Zero Gravity modes.

As soon as body of untrained man is not prepared to move in a weightlessness condition, all flights is conducted under a strict overview of GCTC instructors, which prior task is to ensure safety during the flight. Sizes of IL-76 MDK allows tourists to “float”, tumble and “fly” in a Zero Gravity. The aircraft itself is equipped with safety belts, handrails and soft coating for a Zero Gravity flights.

Up to 14 people can participate in a Zero Gravity flight on 24th and 25th of August!. So join the flight group now and get unforgettable emotions and memories!

You can double this adventure with a MiG-29 flight!

Unique Zero G flight in Russia

Zero Gravity flights is an adventure, rightiously considered one the most amazing and unforgettable in the world. Only space travelling could be compared to this. The uniqueness of an adventure is not only about the fact that weighlessness condition is simulated not in space, but on Earth, not far from Moscow.

Zero Gravity flights are perfomed on a Russian aircraft IL-76 MDK which is a modification for Soviet IL-76 airplane - military transport aircraft designed in 1969, constructed and adopted in 1971. In 1981 the airplane underwent deep modernization: the flight range as well as its carrying capacity was increased.

IL-76 MDK was designed in late 1980-s as a flying simulator of zero gravity conditions in order to train cosmonauts. Now its a unique vessel which is still used for drills, scientific experiments and for entertaining purposes.
What makes it so distinctive among other training aircrafts of its class?

The closest analogue of IL-76 MDK is Boeing 727-200 which is narrow-fuselage civil aircraft adapted for zero gravity flights. The seats in these planes were removed and handrails were installed so tourists can enjoy the adventure. But the fuselage sizes remained the same: its height does not exceed 1,5 meters. This creates limitations in moves which can be performed while the zero gravity mode is on. The height of IL-76 MDK is more than 3 meters so during the weightlessness mode the tourists are able to perform somersaults and rolls. Also its much comfortable to have enough space for enjoying the flight on a big-sized aircraft than to huddle on a small platform of a civil plane!

We arrange commercial Zero G flights for tourists every year. We also offer a unique drills with in a "Sokol" space suit, "Soyuz-TMA" space ship simulator and TsF-18 centrifuge training.
